Son organisation
Bear-It prend forme en 2018, lors du retour du concours M. Ours à Montréal. Pour les fondateur du groupe, le fait de s’impliquer pour la communauté gay n’est pas qu’une question de redonner mais, d’assumer qui ils sont. Le groupe constitué de deux dirigeants peut également compter sur des BEAR-NÉVOLES pour soutenir la planification et la réalisation des évènements et la promotion de la communauté ours.
Sa raison d’être
Le groupe Bear-It souhaite faire rayonner la communauté « ours » à travers la province en offrant de la visibilité auprès des groupes « bear » du pays et en organisant des évènements culturels et festifs pour tous. Mais également en faisant rayonner la communauté ours à travers le monde en regroupant sur une seule plate forme, tous les évènements Ours à travers le monde. Bien que privilégiant une collaboration de proximité avec les groupe d’ours du Québec et de l’Ontario, bear-it poursuit sa mission de tisser des liens avec les groupes ours du monde entier afin de faciliter la promotion des activitées de la communauté.
Bear-It se veut accueillant et inclusif; tout le monde est bienvenu sans crainte d’être jugé sur son âge ou son apparence corporelle.

Sensibiliser les gens contre la grossophobie et le « body shaming » par l’entremise de rassemblements festifs et culturels.

Organization
Bear-It took shape in 2018, when the Mr. Ours contest returned to Montreal. For the founders of the group, getting involved in the gay community is not just a question of giving back but of assuming who they are. The group made up of two leaders can also count on BEAR-NÉVOLES to support the planning and realization of events and the promotion of the bear community.
Reason of being
The Bear-It group wishes to promote the “bear” community across the province by offering visibility to “bear” groups in the country and by organizing cultural and festive events for all. But also by spreading the bear community around the world by bringing together on a single platform, all Bear events around the world. Although favoring close collaboration with bear groups in Quebec and Ontario, bear-it continues its mission to forge links with bear groups around the world in order to facilitate the promotion of community activities.
Bear-It wants to be welcoming and inclusive; everyone is welcome without fear of being judged on their age or physical appearance.
